SMUSH a Book!

It is always fun on a cold and rainy day to snuggle up by the fireplace and read a book. One of my classic favorites is Chicken Little: The Sky is Falling. Sometimes it seems as if everything is going wrong - the sky is falling. Fortunately in the end we find out that the world is not ending! Instead, they all lived happily ever after. Sometimes we need to remember that things are not as bad as they might seem. If we spend more time SMUSHing life will be more fun. Which character do you like best from this story, Henny-Penny, Rooster-Booster, Ducky-Chucky, Goosie-Brucie, or Turkey-Perky?

When people begin speaking positive “‘Truth-Talk’” they often ask how long it will take for them to change their behavior. The answer is, if you’re speaking positive “‘Self-Talk’” on a daily basis, it typically takes from three to four weeks for you brain to begin to rewire itself. The key is repetition. That’s why it helps to listen to “‘Truth-Talk’” several times a day. If you tend to have a negative bent in your personality listening to “‘Truth-Talk’” is like learning a new language. The more you use your new vocabulary the stronger and more lasting the new “‘Self-Talk”’ will be wired into your brain.

After 20 years of captivity this female bear roams in a circle even though she is free to explore the forest. Do you sometimes feel trapped? Even when you are free to choose the path you follow you continue to make the wrong choice. This is why neuroplasticity is so important. You can change the wiring in your brain with positive '"Truth-Talk'". It is so simple. Just listen to it as you go about your daily routine. Listen as you cook dinner, garden or drive to the store. Break the cycle of 20 years of captivity. Make a new future for yourself with God's help. Faith can move mountains and "'Truth-Talk"' is the tool to set you free.

2022 the year for me and you!

It is so much fun to spend time with family and friends. A great way to SMUSH is painting rocks for the community rock garden. Whether your 2 or 99 there is something fun about painting. It's nice to spread joy in your community. 2022 will be a great year. It will be the year for me and you.
