New studies prove that giving to others has a positive effect on your brain. The "warm glow" we experience is the pleasant sensation we get when we help others. Does it matter who we help? It has been found that humans prosper from social connections. Studies have discovered, that when a person gives' they have reduced brain activity in the amygdala. This is the area of the brain that concentrates on stress, anxiety, phobias and PTSD. MRI scans support the positive effect giving will have on your brain. Who would have thought making the world a better place for others, would also make it a better place for you.
